How the hell does the lab team leader allow such a mess in here... Cables and optic fibre wiring on the floor, motion controllers and other devices all over the place. After two days of about 8 hours each spent above the optic table trying to tune an interferometer, I finally got it right. It happened after everyone already left home, so there was no one to hear me yell "YEAH BITCH!" It was tuned to a 1-inch-wide beam with no fringes at all. They said it wouldn't be possible to achieve such fine tuning... Truly underestimated my capabilities of wasting a load of time to prove a point.
